Note: From now on the official MOP Squad Superstar rankings will be updated following PPVs and will only be updated for the brand who hosted the PPV. Below are the new RAW rankings and the old SmackDown! rankings. These rankings will be updated twice next month, following RAW's Taboo Tuesday and again following SmackDown!'s No Mercy.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Rankings
Current Champion: Triple H (9th reign, 0 successful defenses)

1. Chris Jericho - Intercontinental Champion (7th Reign, 0 successful defenses)
Since Jericho just won the belt in an incredible Ladder Match and since there is no official Number 1 Contender, he is to be considered the current Number 1 Contender. Jericho hasn't had a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship (other than the Elimination Chambers) since he lost the Undisputed Championship to Triple H at WrestleMania X8. Jericho will, most likely, finish his business with Edge and Christian before he sets his sights on the World Championship though.

2. Randy Orton - Former Champion
After losing the championship at Unforgiven due to interference from Evolution, most would think that Orton was out of contention for a title shot. However, after he single-handedly defeated Evolution on RAW the next night (via DQ), Orton has shot himself back into the title picture. Orton will surely get a rematch for the title he shouldn't have lost before or at the next RAW brand PPV, Taboo Tuesday.

3. Chris Benoit
Benoit lost the title to Orton cleanly at SummerSlam and was screwed out of the rematch on RAW last month but, after assisting Orton in the beatdown of Evolution's Batista, the Rabid Wolverine has shot himself back into the title hunt. Everyone should watch for Benoit to walk into a RAW event before Survivor Series with his name in the challenger spot for the World Heavyweight Championship, if he doesn't decide to aim for Batista that is.

4. Shawn Michaels
Following his impressive victory over Kane at Unforgiven and his tag team victory with Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho over Christain and Tyson Tomko, the Heart Break Kid could be looking to set himself up to re-enter the hunt for the World Heavyweight Championship. It was in November 2002 when Shawn Michaels won the belt, could he be gearing up for a Survivor Series repeat? Michaels will have to clear things up with Christian's attack on him following the tag match on RAW before he goes for the World Heavyweight Title but that shouldn't take to long. Right?

5. Shelton Benjamin
Shelton seemed to be heading for Randy Orton and the Intercontinental Championship when he was injured earlier this year but now he's returned and is helping Orton...could he have also switched his sites to another title? Benjamin holds 2 pinfall victories and a countout victory over Triple H and don't think that the Game has forgotten those. Benjamin could very well be a contender to the title but he'll have to wait in line behind at least Orton and Benoit.

World Tag Team Championships
Current Champions: La Resistance (2nd reign, 5 successful defenses)

1. Chris Benoit & William Regal
Although no actual contenders have been named and Benoit seems to be aiming for the World Heavyweight Championship, he and Regal picked up a tag team victory at Unforgiven and Benoit beat La Resistance member Robaire Conway in singles action on RAW. If they decide to go for those titles, Benoit & Regal would practically be garunteed a shot and would be a very dangerous duo but don't look for that to happen. Look for Benoit to continue his path to the World Heavyweight Championship and look for Regal to try and persuade Eugene back to the WWE to be his partner.

No Other Contenders
