CORVALLIS, Ore. - Lawrence Hill had 13 points and Brook Lopez had 12 points and nine rebounds to lead No. 23 Stanford to a 66-46 victory over Oregon State on Thursday night.

Anthony Goods added 12 points for the Cardinal (13-2, 2-1 Pac-10), who have beaten the Beavers in 16 of the last 17 meetings.

Freshman Omari Johnson had 11 points and eight rebounds but was just 4-of-14 from the field for the Beavers (6-9, 0-3), who had a season-low point total and shot 30.4 percent. C.J. Giles and Seth Tarver were Oregon State's next leading scorers with seven points each.

The loss was the fifth straight for the Beavers.

The Cardinal scored the game's first seven points. Johnson converted a layup for Oregon State's first score, but Stanford rolled up eight points in the next 49 seconds to take a 15-2 lead.

Hill torched Oregon State last season, averaging 23.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in two games. He hit a career-high five 3-pointers in Corvallis last season. He started 44 consecutive straight games but coach Trent Johnson sent him to the bench after a bad game against UCLA last week. He returned to the starting lineup against the Beavers, replacing Robin Lopez.

Hitting their first five 3-point tries, the Cardinal increased the lead to 24-8 and Oregon State didn't get closer than that in the first half. The Beavers were 8-of-28 from the field in the half as Stanford took a 39-20 lead.

Goods scored with 8:48 left to put the Cardinal up 55-30.

Giles, a highly regarded transfer from Kansas, continued to struggle, fouling out for the fifth time in seven games.

Stanford is among the top 10 in the nation in scoring defense, holding opponents to 56.8 points per game coming in.

Robin Lopez had eight points and three rebounds for the Cardinal while Taj Finger had eight rebounds.
