GLASGOW (Reuters) - Celtic keeper David Marshall reckons the Scottish Premier League title fight will probably rest on the outcome of the last Old Firm clash with arch Glaswegian rivals Rangers.

The two teams have been given their big game date, Sunday, April 24, although the full list of fixtures for the final six games has still be announced.

With just a point separating the teams at the top, Marshall said at Tuesday's news conference: "We cannot afford to drop any more points obviously as Rangers, well, we expect them to win tonight (against Dundee United).

"We know we are capable of winning the League in our last seven games.

"If we lose our next two games with Livingston and Aberdeen then it would be decided. Although the fans would expect us to win these two, Livingston are fighting to stay up and Aberdeen are fighting for Europe.

"So that's two tough games for us, but if everybody, Rangers and Celtic, take six points from their next two games then it probably will come down to the Old Firm game."

Rangers take on bottom club and Scottish Cup finalists Dundee United on Tuesday at Ibrox while sitting at the SPL summit with 78 points from 31 games. Celtic tackle Livingston on Wednesday just a point behind.

Manager Martin O'Neill said at Tuesday's conference: "We need to win this game (with Livingston), it's as simple as that. It will be difficult, we played a reserve game there yesterday and, you know, there's plenty of enthusiasm about their teams so it'll be a tough fixture.

"There are plenty of points to play for now and plenty of time but obviously if we get beaten once or twice before the Rangers game then it would be a serious setback. But the Championship is still in our hands."

The league splits after this weekend's round of matches so that the top six play each other five times and the bottom half dozen also meet each other to decide championship and relegation issues.

Celtic have won the Scottish championship 39 times and Rangers 50.
