EVANSTON, Ill. - Craig Moore scored 21 points, including two game-winning free throws, to lead Northwestern to a 77-75 win over Indiana on Wednesday.
Kevin Coble added 19 points and Michael Thompson had 15 points and five assists for Northwestern (11-7, 3-5 Big Ten).
Last-place Indiana (5-14, 0-7) is winless in the Big Ten and has lost the last 10 games.
Indiana nearly pulled off the upset, going on an 11-2 run in the second half to pull to within 70-69 with 3:31 left. Coble hit a 3-pointer and a short jumper, but Indiana’s Verdell Jones III and Matt Roth each hit 3s to tie at 75.
Moore made both free throws with 6.6 seconds left.
Devan Dumes led Indiana with 26 points, matching his career-high in the first half with 21 points, including five 3-pointers.
