Abyss and James Mitchell were walking backstage.  Mitchell told Abyss that he was right, and that Abyss is the champion.  He destroyed Christian Cage in front of his wife, and now he is the real world champion.  He gave a thumbs up to the camera as the show starts!

Abyss came down to the ring with James Mitchell.  They entered the ring and Mitchell grabbed a microphone.  He told the audience that Abyss survived their bout at Lockdown and is now the NWA Heavyweight Champion.  The way Mitchell sees it, possession is 9/10 of the law of holding a championship.  He told anyone backstage if they had a problem with it, and if they do, come down to the ring now.  Rhino came down to the ring to start off the first match of the night.

Singles Match

Abyss (/w James Mitchell) vs. Rhino

Rhino quickly started the match up with several quick chops.  Abyss whipped him to the corner and charged at him, but Rhino put his elbow up.  He whipped Abyss out of the ring.

Back in the ring, Abyss kneed Rhino in the stomach.  He stomped on Rhino’s head, followed by an overhand slap.  Rhino started to fight back with several knife-edge chops, but Abyss kneed him in the chest.  Rhino retaliated with a flying forearm.  He charged at him, but Abyss caught him and hit the chokeslam.  He went for the pin, but Rhino kicked out at two.  He whipped Rhino the corner, but Rhino reversed the positions and hit a shoulder-thrust.  He hit a belly-to-belly suplex, but when Mitchell distracted the referee, Bobby Roode stormed the ring and clotheslined Rhino from behind.  He went backstage as Abyss hit the Black-Hole Slam onto Rhino for the victory!

Winner by pinfall: Abyss

Christian Cage attacked him from behind and went for the Unprettier, but Abyss pushed him off.  Cage bounced off the ropes and unleashed a fury of right hands.  Mitchell ran off with the belt, but Abyss clubbed him from behind.  He charged at Cage, but Cage held down the ropes and Abyss fell out of the ring.  He grabbed a microphone and told Abyss that he has something that belongs to him.  He challenged Abyss to a TLC match for the NWA Heavyweight Championship at Sacrifice!

Jeremy Borash is backstage with Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner.  Steiner told Borash that the only weapon he needs is his arms.  Larry Zbyszko came up to him and told them that Sting wants to meet him in the ring to tell him who he will face at Sacrifice.  Jarrett and Steiner left as Zbyszko told Borash to tell him if he ever sees Raven.

Team Japan made their way down to the ring for the next match-up.  Team USA came down to the ring to start the match.

Normal Tag Team Match

Team Japan vs. Team USA

Minoru Tanaka and Sonjay Dutt started the match.  They grappled up, but Tanaka hit a standing-dropkick.  Tanaka locked in a hammerlock, but Dutt rolled out of it and hit a hip-toss.  He hit another hip-toss and tagged in Alex Shelley.  Shelley locked in an abdominal-stretch while Dutt dropkicked him in the face.  Shelley launched Dutt onto Tanaka and went for the pin, but Hirooku Goto broke it up.  Shelley whipped Tanaka the corner, but Tanaka locked in an interesting submission move, but Dutt broke it up.  Tanaka took Dutt out of the ring and returned to the task at hand and tagged in Goto.  Goto kneed him many times in the midsection and tagged in Tanaka.  Tanaka placed Shelley on the top turnbuckle and followed suite, but Shelley punched him off.  Goto came into the ring but Shelley hit a missile-dropkick and tagged in Dutt.  He hit a springboard leg-drop and the pin, but Goto broke it up.  They hit a double-dropkick to Tanaka and some more double-team moves.  Dutt went for the pin, but Tanaka breaks it up.  Tanaka took Shelley out of the ring and held Dutt as Goto hit a missile-dropkick.  Goto hit a back-suplex and the pin, but Shelley broke it up.  Shelley hit an enziguri and the sliced bread on Goto, followed by Dutt hitting the running shooting star press for the victory!

Winners by pinfall: Team USA

Jeremy Borash is backstage with AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels.  They have a tag team match against AMW for the NWA Tag Team Championship.  Daniels told Borash that they will work perfectly like a team, and AMW will see that firsthand.

Samoa Joe came down to the ring for his title defense.

Jay Lethal was already in the ring as we go to the match.

X Division Championship Singles Match

Larry Zbyszko was in the ring, but Raven quickly stormed the ring and chased him backstage.  Back to the match, Joe kicked Lethal sharply in the chest.  Lethal countered a hip-toss and hit a neck-breaker.  He hit a straight right hand and bounced off the ropes, but Joe slammed him down to the mat.  Joe hit a knife-edge chop to the back of Lethal, followed by driving his knee into the throat.  Lethal elbowed Joe several times and bounced off the ropes, but Joe hit a quick power-slam.  He locked in the cross arm-bar, but Lethal got to the ropes.

Joe whipped Lethal to the corner and hit a huge enziguri.  He hit the face-wash and went for the pin, but Lethal kicked out.  He locked in a sleeper-hold, but Lethal elbowed out of it.  He hit a spin-kick, followed by a standing-dropkick.  He went onto the apron and springboarded off of it, but Joe slammed him down.  Joe hit the Muscle-Buster for the victory.

Winner by pinfall and still the X Division Champion: Samoa Joe

Right after the match, Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner made their way down to the ring.  Samoa Joe confronted them, but Jarrett walked right by him.  He stared at Steiner as we cut to commercial.

Commercial

Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner were in the ring as they called down Sting.  Sting came down to the ring to tell Jarrett who his partner is for their match at Sacrifice.  Jarrett told him that match is signed, but he wants to know who his partner is.  Sting told Jarrett that he can choose who his partner is.  He can choose entrance tunnel #1 or tunnel #2, and both tunnels have real wrestlers behind it.  He asked the fans, but Jarrett told them to stay out of it.  Jarrett told Steiner something inaudible, and Sting told him that they are going to do things game-show style.  He told Christy Hemme to stand on the entrance ramp, which she did (she is the game-show hostess).  Sting told Jarrett that if he doesn’t choose tonight, then there will be a different choice next time, and he won’t like it.  Jarrett told him that he isn’t choosing, and that he was sure that Sting had no wrestler behind each tunnel.  Sting grabbed a piece of paper and told us that the wrestler on tunnel #1 is Buff Bagwell!  Bagwell came down to the ring with Christy.  Jarrett asked Sting if that was all he could dig up.  The wrestler on tunnel #2 turned out to be Lex Luger, who was led down to the ring with Christy.  Jarrett and Steiner left the ring.  It looks like we will find out next week who his partner is.  Sting, Luger, and Bagwell stared down at them as iMPACT! went off the air!
