TNA Lockdown - April 23, 2006

Lockdown started up the camera showing the ring, which was surrounded by the six sides of steel. Every match featured on this pay-per-view will be held in the steel cage. The fireworks went off as the music of Team Japan started up. Team Japan made their way down to the ring. Team USA came down to the ring to start off the first match of the night.

Team Japan vs. Team USA

Alex Shelley and the Minoru Tanaka started the match. Tanaka missed a standing-dropkick, but after Shelley bounced off the ropes, he hit another one perfectly. Tanaka tagged in the Black Tiger, but he got taken down with a back-body-drop. The Black Tiger got back to his feet, but he got hit by a headscissors takedown, followed by a back-breaker. Jay Lethal tagged himself in as the Black Tiger tagged in Hirooki Goto. They did some mat wrestling, but ended with Goto locked in a side-headlock. He bounced off the ropes and hit a shoulder-block, but Lethal came back with a hip-toss and a dropkick to the face. Goto tagged in the Black Tiger, but Lethal was able to tag to Sonjay Dutt. Shelley and Lethal double-teamed the Black Tiger with a back-breaker, and held onto him as Dutt hit a springboard moonsault. Shelley got tagged in and he locked in an abdominal-stretch, and Lethal ran in and hit a dropkick to the head. Shelley held Dutt, and powered him down onto the Black Tiger. He tagged in Dutt, who hit a back-elbow and the pin, but the Black Tiger kicked out. He whipped the Black Tiger to the corner and charged at him, but the Black Tiger dodged the move. The Black Tiger tagged in Goto, who hammered away the back of Dutt and tagged in Tanaka. He drove his knee into the back of Dutt as Team Mexico watched the match at the top of the entrance ramp. Team Japan all hit a dropkick to the head of Dutt and the pin, but Shelley made the save. Tanaka stomped on the chest of Dutt and tossed him to his corner. He tagged in Goto, who hit a hip-toss. He locked in a single-leg boston crab, but quickly abandoned the move. He tagged in the Black Tiger, who whipped him to the corner and charged at him, but Dutt got his elbow up. He hit a diving hurricanrana and tagged in Lethal, who hit a diving leg-lariat onto the Black Tiger, followed by the pin, but the Black Tiger kicked out. He whipped the Black Tiger to the corner and charged at him, but the Black Tiger got his elbow up. He hit a standing-dropkick and tagged in Goto, who hit a side-suplex onto Lethal. All of Team USA hit body-presses onto Goto, followed by Shelley hit a five-star frog splash. He went for the pin, but Goto kicked out.

Dutt hit a standing-shooting star press, and Shelley went for the pin again, but Goto kicked out. Goto tagged in Tanaka, who took down all the members of Team USA. He locked in a cross-armbar onto Lethal, but Shelley broke it up. The Black Tiger whipped Lethal into the boot of Tanaka, followed by the dragon-suplex. He kept the bridge held on and Lethal didn't kick out!

Winners by pinfall: Team Japan

They celebrated in the ring as Shelley didn't so happy.

Jeremy Borash was backstage, interviewing Team 3D. He showed us some new TNA action figures, but then focused on Team 3D. Brother Ray exclaimed that the war continues tonight, but the war also ends. Along with Brother Devon and Brother Runt, they will step into the six sides of steel. Tonight is not about belts, it is about pride and respect for their country. They left, but Larry Zbyszko confronted him and asked him TNA managements big announcement tonight, but Borash had no idea what he was talking about. Zbyszko walked away, looking more confused than ever.

Christopher Daniels made his way down to the ring for his mystery opponent match. His opponent is none other than Low Ki, who is now named as Senshi.

Christopher Daniels vs. Senshi

Senshi started an assault and hit a back-elbow, followed by a knife-edge chop. He went for a boot, but Daniels caught it. He went for a back-suplex, but Senshi flipped out of it and bounced off the ropes, but he ran into a spin-kick by Daniels. He hit a back-elbow and went for the pin, but Senshi kicked out. He hit a body-press at the corner, but Senshi came back with a flapjack. He hit several sharp kicks to the chest of Daniels, followed by a gut-buster. He went for the pin, but Daniels kicked out. Daniels started to retaliate with some clubbing blows to the back of Senshi, but Senshi came back with more kicks. He hit a back-suplex and the pin, but Daniels kicked out. He brought Daniels back to a vertical base, but Daniels hit several right hands. They exchanged chops, but Senshi ended that with a double-chop. Daniels attempted a sunset-flip, but Senshi didn't fall back and stomped right on the chest of Daniels.

Senshi locked in a bodyscissors, but Daniels got back to his feet and elbowed out of the move. Senshi attempted a springboard spin-kick, but Daniels dodged it and hit an enziguri. Senshi dodged a punch, but Daniels was able to suplex him into the steel cage. He hit the STO, followed by the pin, but Senshi kicked out. He hit a spinning sit-down powerbomb and the pin, but Senshi kicked out. Senshi dodged a clothesline and hit a face-buster and the pin, but Daniels kicked out. He attempted the fisherman-suplex, but Daniels blocked it. Senshi kicked him right in the face, followed by another huge kick to the face. He went for the pin, but Daniels kicked out. Senshi hit several chops, but Daniels countered into the Death Valley-Driver, followed by the Best Moonsault Ever. He went for the pin, but Senshi kicked out at two. Daniels placed Senshi on the top turnbuckle, and attempted a superplex, but Senshi kicked him several times on the back. Daniels set him up for the Angel's Wings on the top turnbuckle, but Senshi held on and pushed him off. He missed a diving stomp, which allowed Daniels to hit a face-buster. He attempted the Angel's Wings again, but Senshi pushed him to the ropes and reversed the Angel's Wings into an interesting bridge pin for the victory (he used the ropes for the leverage).

Winner by pinfall: Senshi

The camera goes to Jeremy Borash, who was with the James Gang. Bob Armstrong exclaimed that he will win the arm wrestling contest. BG James told Borash that Konnan broke their heart, but they will break his skin.

Konnan came down to the ring with Hernandez and Homicide. This is an arm wrestling contest and the losing team will get slapped ten times with a strap. He grabbed the microphone and told the audience that Bob Armstrong has the advantage, because he hurt his knuckles beating down fifteen Orlando punks. He told the audience to shut up before the James Gang came down to the ring.

Arm Wrestling Contest
Konnan (/w LAX) vs. "Bullet" Bob Armstrong (/w James Gang)

The James Gang and LAX had to exit the ring before the contest started up. They locked up, and Armstrong had the advantage throughout the entire contest to win it!

Winner: "Bullet" Bob Armstrong

LAX stormed the ring and flipped the table over, but the James Gang entered the ring and told LAX to assume the positions so they can get their ten straps. They gave their ten slaps, but the camera changed shots.

Jeremy Borash was backstage, interviewing Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner, and AMW, but Larry Zbyszko confronted them. He asked Jarrett about TNA management's special announcement, but Jarrett told him that he knew nothing.

Elix Skipper came down to the ring with Simon Diamond. Petey Williams came down to the ring with Scott D'Amore. Puma made his way down to the ring, followed by Chase Stevens. Shark Boy came down to the ring, and lastly, Chris Sabin made his way down to the ring with an American flag.

"Xscape" Steel Cage Match
Elix Skipper (/w Simon Diamond) vs. Petey Williams (/w Scott D'Amore) vs. Puma vs. Chase Stevens vs. Shark Boy vs. Chris Sabin

Williams and Shark Boy started the match up, by Williams locking in a front face-lock, but Shark Boy hit a standing-dropkick, followed by several knife-edge chops. Williams bounced off the ropes and hit a clothesline. He choked Shark Boy out with his boot at the corner. Shark Boy tossed him to the corner and hit the ten mounted punches. He went to the top turnbuckle and attempted the Dead-Sea Drop, but Williams raked the eyes and tagged in Puma. Shark Boy hit a headscissors takedown. He attempted a suplex, but Puma reversed into a back-suplex. He went to the top turnbuckle, but Shark Boy hit a dropkick onto Puma. He hit a hurricanrana off the top turnbuckle. Puma tagged in Skipper, who missed a clothesline and got hit by a bulldog by Shark Boy. He went for the pin, but Skipper kicked out. Skipper got back to his feet and hit a back-suplex, followed by an interesting leg-drop.

Skipper went to the top turnbuckle, but Shark Boy intercepted that and hit a Russian leg-sweep, sending both men crashing down to the mat. Skipper tagged in Williams, who hit the Canadian Destroyer onto Shark Boy and the pin, eliminating him. Sabin came into the ring and hit several right hands and chops, followed by a dropkick. Williams tossed Sabin into the steel and hit a tornado DDT. He locked in a neck-tied choke, but Sabin got back and hit an enziguri. He tagged in Stevens, who tossed the interfering Puma into the steel. He hit a powerbomb onto Williams as Skipper hit the Sudden Death onto Sabin. Stevens climbed to the top of the steel cage as Puma and Skipper exchanged blows. Puma started climbing the cage, but Stevens punched him off. With all the men brawling together, Stevens hit a HUGE shooting star press off the top of the cage onto all of his opponents. He went for the pin onto Williams, but Williams kicked out. Skipper dropped Stevens right on his head and eliminated him! Skipper powerbombed Sabin, but Williams hit a sunset-flip and used the ropes to eliminate Skipper. D'Amore and Diamond argued on the outside (they were embracing earlier). Sabin hit the Cradle Shock onto Puma to eliminate him! Sabin hit a huge big boot onto Williams at the corner before hanging up upside-down on it. He hit a huge dropkick onto Williams and started climbing the cage. He got on the opposite side, but D'Amore stopped him. Williams fell onto the shoulders of D'Amore, which allowed Sabin to touch the ground first with his feet.

Winner by escaping the cage: Chris Sabin

D'Amore and Williams argued as the camera shifts views.

Jeremy Borash is backstage with Abyss and James Mitchell. To cut it short, Mitchell guaranteed victory over Christian Cage tonight.

Sabu made his way down to the ring for the X Division Championship match. He brought a steel chair into the ring. Samoa Joe came down to the ring to start off this highly anticipated match!

The match started quickly started with Sabu locking the camel-clutch, but Joe kicked out of the move. He bounced off the ropes, but Sabu threw the chair into Joe. Joe hit several right hands, leveling his opponent. He hit a series of European-uppercuts and tossed Sabu into the steel. He kicked Sabu in the several times before whipping him into the other side of steel.

Sabu came back with several right hands. He placed Joe in the corner, jumped off the chair, and hit a leg-lariat. He hit a springboard leg-drop and took out a spike. Joe was able to power off Sabu, and he did as he locked in a cross-armbar. The referee took the spike and threw it out of the ring. Joe hit a wrist-lock, followed by several stomps to his head. Sabu got back to a vertical base and hit several right hands and standing-dropkick. He started climbing the cage, and Joe followed suite. Joe smashed Sabu's head into the steel and hit a neck-breaker off the top rope. Sabu brought Joe down and set the chair up. He jumped off the chair and started climbing the cage, but Joe grabbed the chair and threw it to the back of Sabu. He put Sabu up for the Muscle-Buster, and he hit it perfectly. He went for the pin and the victory!

Winner and still the X Division Champion: Samoa Joe

Jeremy Borash was in Team Canada's locker-room. Bobby Roode told Borash that last time they met Team 3D in a cage, they left them broken and bleeding. Scott D'Amore guaranteed victory over Team 3D as Larry Zbyszko confronted them and asked them about the special announcement. D'Amore told him that he knows something about it, but he isn't going to tell him. They left as Zbyszko looked angry.

Team Canada made their way down to the ring for the Anthem match. Team 3D came down to the ring with an American flag to start the match.

Team Canada (/w Scott D'Amore) vs. Team 3D

To win the match, you have to grab your flag on the opposite side of the ring. Brother Ray took on Bobby Roode as Brother Devon took on A1. They teamed up and hit a clothesline onto their opponent, but they turned around into Eric Young, who hit a diving clothesline onto both Ray and Devon. Roode and A1 stomped on their opponents, but they turned around into a dropkick by Brother Runt. Team Canada took Ray and Devon out, but they noticed Runt, who was traversing the ropes to grab their flags. They took down Runt as Roode attempted to grab their flag, but Ray intercepted that and hit the full-nelson powerbomb off the top turnbuckle. Young tried to grab their flag, but Runt stopped him and stomped on the chest of him.

Ray and Devon double-teamed Roode with a leg-drop. Ray hit several knife-edge chops onto A1. Ray whipped Roode accidentally into the referee, leveling him immediately. Ray and Devon hit the double-flapjack onto A1. Ray and Runt lifted the legs of Young as Devon went to the top turnbuckle and hit the diving headbutt. They grabbed their flag, but the referee was down, so nothing was counted. Team Canada took down Team 3D and Young placed the flag back. D'Amore took a steel chair and knocked down the gate-keeper. He then opened the door and threw a table into the ring. They placed Runt on the table, but he dodged a diving elbow-drop by Runt. He hit the Acid-Drop onto A1 as Ray and Devon hit the 3D onto Roode. Runt went to the top turnbuckle and grabbed the flag.

Winners by grabbing the flag: Team 3D

The flag was raised above the ring, but they decided to hit the 3D onto D'Amore. The national anthem of the USA started up as the crowd started singing it.

Surprising to some, not surprising to others, Christy Hemme came down to the announcer's table and handed Mike Tenay and Don West and handed them a letter. She left, as Tenay read the letter. It read that all members of the TNA management are now going to be held accountable for their own actions. The new man who joined the management has just put Larry Zbyszko on probation! Zbyszko came down to the ring and asked Tenay on who signed the letter, but Tenay finished it and said that one man is back onto the TNA roster, and that man is Raven! Raven came down to the ring and chased Zbyszko around it. Zbyszko ran into the ring and closed the door. Security took Raven away as the camera changed.

Jeremy Borash is backstage with Christian Cage, but instead of saying anything, he just left.

Abyss made his way down to the ring with a bag of thumb tacks and his steel chain. James Mitchell accompanied him down to the ring. Christian Cage came from the crowd to attack Abyss outside of the ring.

He stomped on Abyss, but Abyss grabbed a steel chair and smashed it over the back of the champion. He choked Cage, but Cage retaliated with several right hands. He launched off the steel steps, but Abyss dodged the move and Cage crashed into the steel barricade. Abyss and Cage started fighting into the crowd. Cage hit several right hands and threw Abyss into the concrete wall. Cage charged at Abyss, but Abyss was able to hit a back-body-drop, sending Cage over the barricade and back into the ringside. Abyss opened the steel door and attempted to swing it right at Cage, but the champion dodged it and whipped the door several times into Abyss. Cage chased after Mitchell, but he turned around into the steel cage door by Abyss. They finally brought the battle into the ring to officially start the match.

Cage kicked Abyss in the face and charged at him, but Abyss picked him up and press-slammed him into the steel. He went for the pin, but Cage kicked out. Cage hit several head-butts, followed by an attempt at the Unprettier, but Abyss pushed him off and launched him into the air. He went for the pin again, but Cage kicked out. Cage started to retaliate with right hands, but Abyss whipped him chest-first into the turnbuckle. Abyss charged at Cage and sandwiched him between himself and the steel cage. He got Cage up in the torture-rack, but Cage got out of the move. He hit several back-elbows and bounced off the ropes, but he ran into a powerbomb into the steel by Abyss. He powerbombed Cage into the steel for a second time before stomping on the head of the champion. He hit a big overhand-slap on Cage. He motioned that he wants the belt, but this allowed Cage to hit several knife-edge chops. He dodged a clothesline, but Abyss accidentally hit the referee. Mitchell grabbed the heavyweight championship belt and handed that and his cane to Abyss. He attempted to hit Cage with the cane, but Cage reversed into the Unprettier and the pin, but Abyss amazingly kicks out. Cage went to the top of the cage and hit a huge five-star frog splash onto Abyss followed by the pin, but Abyss kicked out. Cage went for the Unprettier again, but Abyss countered into the Shock Treatment. Abyss grabbed his thumb tacks and put them all the mat as Cage started climbing the cage. Abyss slammed the referee into the cage, but Cage was able to powerbomb Abyss onto the thumb tacks! He went for the pin, and Mark Johnson entered the ring to count the pin, but Abyss kicked out. Cage bounced off the ropes, but Abyss hit the Black-Hole Slam! He went for the pin, but Cage kicked out! Cage was able to hit the Unprettier onto Abyss, who went face-first into the thumb tacks!

Winner by pinfall and still the NWA Heavyweight Champion: Christian Cage

He celebrated with his championship and left the ring, but entered it again when Mitchell entered it to check on Abyss. He grabbed Mitchell, but Abyss hit a low-blow from behind. He grabbed the steel chain and whipped Cage in the back with it. He tossed Cage out of the ring and choked him with the chain. Mitchell gave Abyss the championship as his music started up. He walked away with the belt as the camera changed.

Jeremy Borash was backstage with Rhino, the Truth, and AJ Styles. Styles told Borash that Sting chose TNA to wrestle in. He could've picked any team he wanted, but he decided to pick them. They are not going to let him down. Rhino told Borash that they will make Jeff Jarrett and Co. bleed, and he will hit the Gore! Sting appeared beside them and told Borash that it is showtime and they left!

Chris Harris came down to the ring with Gail Kim and Miss Jackie. AJ Styles will start for Sting's team. Every two minutes, another wrestler will enter.

"Lethal Lockdown" Steel Cage Match
Chris Harris vs. AJ Styles

Harris hammered away at the back of Styles, leveling him quickly. Styles got back to his feet and hit an armbar, but Harris locked in a side-headlock. Styles missed a dropkick, but hit another one perfectly. Harris came back with a right hand, but Styles hit a drop toe-hold and drove his knee into the back of Harris' knee. He hammered away at back of Harris before setting him up on the top turnbuckle. He kicked Harris several times and got Harris caught in-between the cage and the ropes. He charged at him and hit several body-pressed onto Harris. Harris was able to hit the catatonic onto Styles, but Styles was able to hit the Styles' Clash. The five minutes was up so James Storm came down to the ring.

Chris Harris & James Storm vs. AJ Styles

Storm hit the Eye of the Storm onto Styles, but didn't go for the pin. Styles started coming back with some right hands, but they double-teamed him with a clothesline. The two minutes was up and Rhino came down to the ring.

Chris Harris & James Storm vs. AJ Styles & Rhino

Rhino took down Storm and hit Harris with the spine-buster. Storm dodged the Gore and slammed Styles down. Storm whipped his partner into Rhino. Rhino came back with several right hands and the two minutes is up.

Chris Harris, James Storm, & Jeff Jarrett vs. AJ Styles & Rhino

Thanks to Jarrett's help, they had the advantage until the Truth came down to the ring.

With the Truth's help, they evened things out.

Chris Harris, James Storm, Jeff Jarrett & Scott Steiner vs. AJ Styles, Rhino, & Truth

They got leveled by Steiner, but until Sting came to even it out.

Chris Harris, James Storm, Jeff Jarrett, & Scott Steiner vs. AJ Styles, Rhino, Truth, and Sting

Sting took them all down as the top of the cage was lowered down. Styles and Storm somehow got to the top of the cage, but Storm was able to hit a super-kick to Styles. Jarrett grabbed a guitar, but Sting grabbed a guitar, too. Sting dropped the guitar and picked up his baseball bat. He destroyed the guitar and grabbed his hold guitar but Steiner low-blowed him. Back on the top of the cage, Styles set up a ladder, climbed up it, hanged onto the rafters, and hit a huge body-splash onto Storm through the table. Back into the ring, Sting hit the Scorpion Death-Drop onto Steiner, but he turned around into Harris, who hit a super-kick. He locked in the Scorpion Death-Lock, but Sting reversed that into his own death-lock and Harris tapped out!

Winners by submission: AJ Styles, Rhino, Truth, and Sting

Sting celebrated on the top turnbuckle as Lockdown went off the air!
