Love adjusted after being frustrated by Maryland's early physical play, scoring 18 points and grabbing 16 rebounds to help second-ranked UCLA overcome a sloppy first half in a 71-59 victory over Maryland on Monday night in the semifinals of the CBE Classic.

Butler downs Maryland to reach 3rd round
Butler can shed the mid-major label. A.J. Graves and company proved the Bulldogs can play with anyone — including Maryland. Graves scored 19 points, including a clutch 3-point basket with 2:09 remaining to lift the Bulldogs to a 62-59 win over Maryland in the second round of the NCAA tournament Saturday.

Strawberry, Terps beat Davidson in NCAAs
D.J. Strawberry waited three years to get Maryland back into the NCAA tournament. His patience paid off. Strawberry, son of the former major league slugger, had 12 points and Mike Jones scored 17 to help the Terrapins hang on for an 82-70 win over Davidson on Thursday. Reserve forward Bambale Osby added 11 points and played a key role in sparking an 11-4 run that put the Terps ahead 69-63 with 7:27 remaining.
