The Los Angeles Dodgers' Cinderella season came to a end tonight as the St. Louis Cardinals clinch the National League Championship Series with a 6-2 victory.

Jason Werth's homerun is not enough for the dodger as they fall to the Cardinals in 4

The hero of the game was Albert Pujols, who hit a HR and 4 RBIs. Reggie Sanders went 1-4 with 1 homerun. The Cards Starter Jeff Suppan pitched a gem allowing only 2 runs in 7 innings.

After the game, Dodgers manager Jim Tracy met Tony LaRussa on the field and congratulated him on the series victory. The two teams followed and it looked like it was the ending of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. “Tony and I talked about that before the series started and it was a show of class between two classy teams,” said Tracy when asked about the question.

Dodger pitcher Odalis Perez only pitched 2.1 innings, allowing 2 earned runs, with 3 hits and 5 walks. “Command simply put,” Said Tracy when asked about the game. “I haven’t walked 5 guys in two or three years,” said Perez after the game, frustrated about the loss.

“It was a good season. We might have wanted to go a little longer, but we have no regrets. I guess the Cardinal team was a little better then us this year.” Said Dodgers 3rd basemen Adrian Beltre. Beltre, who lead the league in homeruns this season, only had one RBI.

Jose Lima got the only victory for the Dodgers with a shutout 4-0 win in game 3. It was the first playoff victory for the Dodgers since their 1988 World Series win.
