ANN ARBOR, Mich. - D.J. White scored 21 points and had a career-high 22 rebounds and No. 10 Indiana won its ninth straight, 78-64 over Michigan on Tuesday night. Freshman Eric Gordon had 23 points for the Hoosiers (13-1, 2-0 Big Ten).

Freshman Manny Harris had 19 points for the Wolverines (4-11, 0-3), who have their worst 15-game record in more than two decades.

Michigan's DeShawn Sims made a shot from about 50 feet just before the halftime buzzer and his 3-pointer early in the second half pulled the Wolverines within five points.

Then, White and Gordon took over and turned the game into a rout.

Indiana's stars combined to put the Hoosiers ahead 55-37 early in the second half and they had little trouble keeping the cushion.

Sims had 16 points for the Wolverines, who haven't struggled this much since they opened 2-13 in 1981-82.

Indiana was without starting guard Armon Bassett, who has an ankle injury. The Hoosiers hope he can return for Sunday's home game against Illinois.

Jordan Crawford filled in for Bassett and had 11 points and seven rebounds.

Jevohn Shepherd scored 10 points for the Wolverines, who shot 32 percent from the field.

Gordon played just nine minutes in the first half because he had three fouls, and the Wolverines took advantage and were within 37-31.

Indiana broke the game open with a 22-5 run just as it did in its Big Ten opener when an 11-1 second-half run led to a 79-76 win at Iowa.

The Hoosiers shot 46 percent, including 44 percent from 3-point range, and had 20 second-chance points.
