NORMAL, Ill. (AP) -- Justin Bowen scored 14 points to lead Illinois-Chicago to a 60-56 win Tuesday night at Illinois State.
The Flames (2-2) took a 33-26 lead into the half after 13-of-26 shooting from the field and 6-of-7 shooting from the free throw line.
Besides Bowen, two other players were in double digits: Elliott Poole with 12 and Karl White with 11.
The leading scorer for the Redbirds (4-2) was Lorenzo Gordon with 13 points and six rebounds. He was the only Illinois State player to hit double digits.
