TORONTO - The Canadian Football League will kick off its regular season in Steeltown this year for the first time since 1977.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats will open the 2008 campaign at home against the Montreal Alouettes on Thursday, June 26. The Calgary Stampeders will entertain the B.C. Lions later that night.

The 72-game regular-season schedule will be played over 19 weeks and includes one bye week per team.

The second half of the season includes the CFL’s annual traditional rivalries - highlighted by the Labour Day and Thanksgiving Day classics.

Montreal will host the 96th Grey Cup on Sunday, Nov. 23.
