Last Week: 4-0
Season to Date: .635

Last week, I was lucky.  Sure, I knew that the Stamps would get demolished, and was fairly certain of Saskatchewan beating Montreal, but was really guessing when I picked Toronto over Edmonton, and I had no idea that Ricky Ray would suffer the same fate that befell Henry Burris the week before--separated shoulder, out indefinitely.

I was also counting on Winnipeg to beat the crap out of Hamilton at home, but they only squeaked out a two-point victory.  Which makes tonite's matchup between the Bombers and the visiting BC Lions a bit harder to predict.  Even with Jarious Jackson at the helm, the Lions have won three straight, and their last two on the road.  But can their defence contain the high-powered Bomber attack?  Hell, if the Tabbies can do it, I think their fiercer feline brethren can as well.  I'm taking the Lions on the road.

The Edmonton-Toronto game on Saturday is a wash.  Without Ricky Ray, the Eskies don't have a prayer.  The Argo secondary will feast on rookie Stefan LeFors in an easy home win.

Ditto to Hamilton-Montreal.  Jesse Lumsden's out, and Terry Caulley might be, too.  Even if Casey Printers is back, can he win on the road with a third-string RB?  I don't think so.

And the Saskatchewan-Calgary matchup is another easy pick.  While I said not too long ago that the Stamps were screwed with Akili Smith at quarterback, they're screwed even worse without him.  Barrick Nealy showed last week just how green he is, and Ben Sankey hardly strikes fear in the hearts of opposing defenders.  Eventhough the game's in Calgary, you can expect a large Rider contingent, and those bastards will have plenty to celebrate by the time this one's over...

As bad as things are going for the Stamps right now, CFL Editor Greg Harris is still glad that he doesn't live in Saskatchewan.
