Chelsea Tighten Grip In English Premier League Race

stretched their lead to 7 points at the top of the English Premier League.

Second placed Arsenal were held to a shock 1-1 draw at home to Manchester City.

Shaun Wright-Phillips gave City the lead with Freddie Ljunberg equalising for Arsenal, but the draw saw the London club fall two points further behind Chelsea.

Manchester United were also held to a draw, 0-0, at home to Tottenham Hotspur.

A refereeing blunder cost Tottenham a win after United goalkeeper Roy Carroll fumbled a shot from Pedro Mendes.

The ball appeared well over the goal line but neither the referee nor the linesman gave the goal.

Chelsea now have 55 points from 22 games with Arsenal on 48 points and Manchester United in 3rd place on 44 points.
