Nene's testicular tumor was malignant
A testicular tumor removed from Denver Nuggets forward Nene was malignant. The team said Tuesday the tumor was discovered early, and tests showed the cancer was isolated.

Nene Web site: forward had tumor removed
Denver Nuggets forward Nene underwent surgery Monday to remove a testicular tumor, and a biopsy will determine if it was cancerous. The Brazilian player took an indefinite leave of absence Friday, and there is no timetable for his return.

76ers pick up F Evans in 4-player swap
The Denver Nuggets sent forward Reggie Evans and the draft rights to forward Ricky Sanchez to the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday in exchange for swingman Steven Hunter and forward Bobby Jones. The trade is the second between the teams since December, when Allen Iverson joined the Nuggets in a blockbuster deal.

Camby wins NBA Defensive Player award
Now that Marcus Camby is the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year, he's looking ahead — and behind. The Denver Nuggets' 33-year-old center said that while he cherishes winning the award for the first time in his 11-year pro career, he'd much rather be celebrating a championship in a couple of months.
