CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- The Charlotte Bobcats said Saturday they will pick up third-season options on rookie contracts for Sean May and Raymond Felton.

The decision guarantees Felton nearly $3.3 million and May more than $1.8 million for the 2007-08 season. The team had until Oct. 31 to exercise those options.

The Bobcats also said they are making qualifying offers to restricted free agents Melvin Ely and Bernard Robinson, which will allow Charlotte to match other NBA teams' offers to those players in the offseason.

A qualifying offer was not made to free agent Kevin Burleson, though coach and general manager Bernie Bickerstaff said he still intends to re-sign the team's third-string point guard.

Also Saturday, the Bobcats worked out UCLA's Ryan Hollins, Wake Forest's Chris Ellis and Vladimir Veremeenko of Belarus. None of them is a candidate for the Bobcats' first-round pick, the third overall in Wednesday's draft.

Other draft candidates the Bobcats have worked out include Rudy Gay of Connecticut and Gonzaga's Adam Morrison.
