For the record, I would like to officially congratulate the Boston Red Sox for winning the American League Championship Series, winning four straight after losing the first three.

Now go out there and show me something….

Let them not forget that there is still work to be done. There has been talking of curses and jinxes every time the Red Sox Nation makes it this far. For the record, the Red Sox have reversed no curses.

But what a minute, they just beat the Yankees, the curse is broken!

Remember, the much ballyhooed “Curse of the Bambino” came about because the Red Sox last won a World Series in 1918, before selling Babe Ruth to the Yankees. It has only been in the last several years that the Red Sox and the Yankees have been able to play playoff series (not play-in tiebreaker games) against each other.

All the Red Sox have done is beat the Yankees in the American League Championship Series. If the Red Sox lose to the Cardinals or Astros, the curse will still be in place, the Red Sox will have done nothing.

Then all of the sports editorials and fans saying the curse is broken will be right back to where they started before the season started. Down and out because the Red Sox lost.

Again, Congratulations to the Red Sox for winning the American League Championship Series now go out there and actually show me something. Then come back and talk about reversing curses!
