Thrashers sign 4 forwards

ATLANTA (AP) -- The Atlanta Thrashers signed free-agent forward Kyle Wanvig on Tuesday and re-signed forwards Derek MacKenzie, Karl Stewart and Kevin Doell.

Terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Wanvig had four goals and eight assists in 51 games for Minnesota last season. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound right wing has appeared in 64 career games over three seasons with Minnesota.

MacKenzie was a fifth-round draft pick in 1999. He has appeared in 24 games with the Thrashers over three seasons, recording two assists.

MacKenzie, a center, played in 11 games in two stints with the Thrashers last season. He also appeared in 36 games for Chicago of the AHL last season, scoring 10 goals with 12 assists.

Stewart has played in 13 games in parts of two seasons with Atlanta, including eight games last season.

Doell has appeared in 131 games with Chicago. The center signed with Atlanta in 2004.
